Series Class Descriptions
Beginning Pilates
For new and returning Pilates students! Starting with the principals of core fundamentals, proper body alignment and breath awareness, we will move into learning the essential Pilates mat exercises. With this initial 6 week session you will improve core strength and stability, challenge yourself at your own pace and see improvement in your overall strength and flexibility. All levels are welcome in this fun and invigorating class!
Pilates Mat 1
This class is a step beyond our Beginning level class. Once you have mastered the basics of proper alignment, neutral and imprint, you are ready to add more variety and challenge. This class offers both. We will include some intermediate exercises and often some small equipment to offer additional challenge. No class is ever the same….see what is in store as you move to a new level of awareness and core strength!
Pilates on the Ball
Learn to recruit muscles in a whole new way! The addition of the Stability Ball to the basic Pilates mat exercises will enhance your strength and coordination. You will actively recruit abdominal muscles to find your balance in the exercises you perform on the ball. This will challenge balance, strengthen core muscles, stretch your spine…all while having a ball doing it!
BOSU Series
The BOSU (BOth Sides Up) is an innovative piece of fitness equipment that offers a wide spectrum of dynamic exercises to challenge your center of gravity in all planes of movement. Flat on one side, domed on the other, its unstable nature offers the opportunity to reinforce your balance, stimulate proprioception (body awareness)
all while engaging core strength. The ultimate mind/body workout!
Small Equipment Series
Take your Pilates workout to the next level! Incorporating small equipment to the traditional mat exercises to enhance the benefits of Pilates…..strength, flexibility, balance & coordination. The addition of these pieces of equipment will add resistance to tone and sculpt your upper and lower body in addition to enhancing and challenging core strength. Classes may include flexible bands, resistance circles, weighted toning balls and foam rollers.

Corestar Signature Series
Our own special signature series for those who need a customized class to meet the special needs of their bodies. This small group class will focus on all the fundamental principals of Pilates in a format that modifies the exercises to support any injuries, alignment issues or other physical limitations. Perhaps you are recovering from surgery, have spinal issues or deal with painful joints and limited range of motion….this is the class to start with. Pilates with TLC!
Yoga - Sunrise Hatha
Start your day with a heart-centered practice of hatha yoga! Learn and refine basic asana (postures), pranayama techniques, meditation, chanting and philosophy. Suitable for the beginner or the seasoned practitioner.
Yoga - Beginning Hatha Flow and Meditation
Make the mind-body connection with a popular style of yoga called vinyasa flow. Learn basic asana (postures) coordinated with the breath. Explore pranayama (breathwork) and basic relaxation techniques. This series class will meet once-weekly to quickly build a personal yoga practice. Classes will focus on alignment and mindful movement in a safe, fun environment. Suitable for the beginning student or those who would like to return to a practice.
Yoga - Intermediate Hatha Flow
Practice and refine basic asana (postures) coordinated with the breath. Learn pranayama techniques (breathwork), basic meditation, and chanting, set to unique world music rhythms. This series class meets once-weekly to quickly build a personal yoga practice. Suitable for beginners who have had some experience with yoga. Challenging postures will be offered and can be modified for beginners.
Power Yoga
Participants flow seamlessly from one pose to another with the breath, focusing equally on balance, strength and flexibility. Suitable for all levels. Postures can be adapted to meet the individual's needs.
Zumba
Who says exercise can’t be fun? Join us for the hottest fitness craze in the nation! This high energy, low impact cardio dance class is for everyone…even non dancers! All you need is a willingness to learn & have fun! It blends rhythms from Latin, African and International beats, with dance steps from Salsa, Meringue, Cha-cha, Samba, Hip hop & Belly Dancing among other international favorites! Zumba is fun and energizing while at the same time an awesome cardio workout!! Come and join the party today!
