July 14, 2008 - Summer Fun!
Start dates for our next round of series classes has been posted, time to sign up and grab your spot! Note that many of the upcoming classes will be 4-week series instead of 6-weeks.
We had a blast at Kent Cornucopia Days this past weekend, got to chat with many people interested in Pilates and relax in the warm summer weather. This coming weekend will be the Auburn Sidewalk Sale here on Main Street, so come down and say hello!

July 1, 2008 - June was a blur!
Sorry for the lack of updates since we opened our doors, but I'm pleased to say it was because you folks have been keeping both Ruth and I very busy. Classes kicked off the week of June 16th as planned, and the studio has been buzzing with activity ever since. We love it!
Another round of group classes will be starting up in July, we'll have the class schedule updated with specific dates shortly. We are already welcoming another instructor and adding another Beginners class on Wednesday evenings, watch for more information on that
June 13, 2008 - Setting up Shop
Sorry folks, we didn't quite make our June 2 target. We are still planning to open this week, current target is Thursday the 5th - stay tuned!
Due to the incredible response we're getting from all of you, we are already adding another Beginners Series class to the schedule! It will be Tuesdays at 4:30 PM, starting June 17th, call now to grab your spot!

May 22, 2008 - Has it really been a week??
We've really been putting the hours in, and it's so much fun to see it all coming together. All flooring is done except the entryway, which is more than halfway there. There seems to be no end to the painting process. Lots of odds and ends plus more electrical work and so on, but we'll get there!

We got an early start today and completed about 3/4 of the hardwood installation in the mat room.

April 30, 2008 - Paint
Painting complete - thanks much to Mike for blasting that and many other tasks out of the way! We've proclaimed June 2 as our official opening date, group classes to kick off June 16, sign up now to reserve your spot! Look for pictures of the flooring installation extravaganza around mid-May.

April 24, 2008 - Sheetrock City

April 17, 2008 - Progress Afoot!
Permit granted, inspection complete, insulation done, sheetrock scheduled to go up on Tuesday. Things should be rolling fast over the next few weeks, expect regular updates...

April 16, 2008 - Really big boxes.
Sorry to say there is no permit-related news (although the sprinkler work has been completed), but I can report a recent delivery of brand new toys! The picture below is of a state of the art V2 Max Plus Reformer, the classic Cadillac, and a host of other goodies. Of course it would be a more impressive picture if I could take them out of the boxes, but that will have to wait until the drywall dust clears :(

April 3, 2008 - Back on track!
One permit down, one to go! Work on the sprinkler system is underway, more news should be rolling out shortly.
March 19, 2008 - Safety First...
Update: The electrical work is complete and stamped with the official inspector dude's approval.
Some fun new surprises: Minor changes are needed to the fire alarm and sprinkler systems. So, I'm pleased to report you'll be thoroughly alarmed and wetted if a fire occurs during your training in the new studio...however, now we're back to waiting on permit approval for this work!
I'll post news on the status of our April/May target date for opening as soon as we know more.
March 11, 2008 - We Got Walls!

Feburary 25, 2008 - So Close
We don't have anything in hand yet so we can't give you the official WHOO HOO!!!, but rumor has it the city has approved our permit. We're ready to roll.

January 22, 2008 - Lease Signed!
It's official - Corestar Pilates will be moving into historic downtown Auburn. Check out our front window. It's too early to come visit us there, but we promise we will be VERY busy getting it ready for you!
